Celebrating the heritage of Canadians of Lithuanian origin in Ottawa for Canada's 150th anniversary.
Saturday, the 29th of July 2017 will be rich in Lithuanian culture at Lansdowne Park, Ottawa. Folk dancing, choral singing, original gastronomy, folk art how-to demonstrations, a painting exhibition, and other activities await you.
This extraordinary day of celebration will be presented by over 300 dancers, singers, and artists of Lithuanian origin from all four corners of Canada as well as guests from the U.S. The entertainment program will rotate on the half-hour from 12-6PM and will conclude with a festive evening banquet where music and dance will be an integral part of the festivities.
On either side of the main celebration, are events providing an opportunity for friends to get together. There will be a Welcome Reception on Friday, July 28th as well as Holy Mass and a BBQ on Sunday, July 30th on the Carleton University Campus.
